When we worked on the peer reviews it was nice.  I feel like as graduate students we have experienced our own share of “why are you doing what you’re doing?” But I feel like I usually just give a basic because I like reading and books response. And even now that we have had some time to consider why we chose this career path, i feel like I can’t articulate why. Which is odd because it’s literally what we do: we articulate our thoughts onto paper. Guess I’m just not used to being the subject matter. And I can’t say that I like it very much. It feels like sharing a dark secret to my peers and professor as I fear that it is not enough to satisfy the curiosity of the question “why are you here?”
