Blog 1 - Hodges
Hi, Everyone - I am writing a blog on some thoughts and questions I have on the Hodges reading.
Jotting a list of ideas is a technique I subconsciously didn't think helped but has played a large part in ideas. In the future, jotting ideas could be used as a technique that could be taught to our students as a "pre-writing". Something that could be added to this is our thoughts, ideas, and plans for what may be written. However, Hodges mentions in the reading that this is solely when choosing a topic. In my opinion, I believe jotting ideas down can be a tool that can be utilized through the writing and pre-writing process.
One thing I found interesting and helpful was in the Hodges reading is the Collaborative Invention. Sharing your writing will only help a writer see from a different perspective. Could this also confuse and push a writer's process back? This could be something to consider. How much feedback from another writer should we take? This is something that I personally would like to know more of my colleagues' views on.
